In 1993, JIBC (Japanese International Baptist Church) in Portland, OR planted JIBC of Tacoma, WA. Then in 1998, JIBC of Tacoma’s Rev. Takeuchi started a weekly Bible study in Lynnwood, WA. Four years later, in December 2002, the group has called Rev. Go Kaneda to start Lynnwood Japanese Church.
LJFC is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). However, we want to be a Bible based church, and therefore we simply teach “the Bible” instead of “Baptist doctrine.”
