Torchbearers Yamanakako is right in the middle of Fuji Hokuroku National park. The area has been one of Japan’s most popular resorts with majestic Mount Fuji and five lakes which surround her. Lake Yamanaka is located in the east of Fuji and is the largest of the five lakes.
Each year in the spring the Torchbearer Centre at Lake Yamanaka welcomes young people from around the globe to take part in a two month English-speaking Bible School. Qualified lecturers are drawn from Torchbearers Staff in Japan and overseas, as well as from major mission organizations, such as OMF and SEND International, operating in Japan.
